Smile Esthetics and Bite Correction
This case is an example of a patient with a full cusp class II molar relationship corrected using lingual braces and elastics (No extractions). This patient also has an issue with gingival imbalance resulting in compromised smile esthetics. The smile was improve with changing the shape of the teeth. Lingual braces where used to “intrude” the upper front teeth and then a gingivectomy on the upper central incisors.

The upper dental midline and bilateral symmetry are an important component of smile esthetics. In some instances a combination of orthodontic tooth movement and restorative work such as veneers can produce excellent result.
