Smile Esthetics and Bite Correction
This case is an example of a patient with a full cusp class II molar relationship corrected using lingual braces and elastics (No extractions). This patient also has an issue with gingival imbalance resulting in compromised smile esthetics. The smile was improve with changing the shape of the teeth. Lingual braces where used to “intrude” the upper front teeth and then a gingivectomy on the upper central incisors.
Extractions to Retract Front Teeth
Sometime teeth are extracted to reduce the protrusion of the front teeth and decrease lip support. All treatment can be accomplished using braces behind the teeth, “Lingual Braces”.
